Auto-Rickshaw Ride For A Cause

Auto-rickshaw isn’t an ordinary mode of transportation when you want to travel across territories. To defy this notion, a couple dares to venture in a long journey riding on an auto-rickshaw.

A fearless British couple is about to embark in a unique auto-rickshaw ride to serve an end. The couple is ready to get on a 3000-mile journey across India and into Nepal by an auto-rickshaw to raise funds for charity.

Hounslow-based Kris Mesie and his partner Michelle Etherington will arrive in Kochi, Kerala, on Dec 30 before embarking on a trip through India to Kathmandu, riding the auto-rickshaw, reported The Hindustan Times. The couple will ride in their auto-rickshaw to raise funds for charity organizations such as Mercy Corps, Water Aid and a charity that helps stop women and children in India becoming victims of the sex trade, the report continued.

Mesie told reporters in London:
We will do our damnedest to force 150ccs of Indian engineering over some of the most questionable roads and terrain in about two weeks. We have no backup or assistance along the way. So routes, where to sleep and getting out of tricky and possibly dangerous situations is all down to us.

The whole idea makes no sense apart from the helping charity bit. We are eager to get support from business in the borough and we'll gladly wear company logos and decorate our trusty steed with the same.
It’s pretty rare to have cause-oriented ventures like this. Though, it’s kinda absurd but the purpose is very much appreciated. Helping charities and doing heart-warming activities are things to be proud of.

I wish the couple safe journey.
