The Dog Sled

There’s not much interesting updates about rickshaws lately that’s why I considered posting a different kind of subject right here…

It’s all about dog sleds. Are you familiar with this stuff? I know you’ve seen them on television and usually they are often spotted on icy areas used by Eskimos etc. A dog sled is a sled pulled by one or more sled dogs to travel over ice and through snow. Several types of sleds are used depending on their function.

If you already watched the movie Eight Below starring Paul Walker with the eight skilled Siberian Huskies, that’s the perfect example of an efficient dog sled that can travel and maneuver through thick snow and slippery ice. Dog sleds play an important role to some cold regions in the world wherein they are considered as the basic mode of transportation… aside from walking!
